Q: Can I vote by mail?
Yes! On August 14th, the Kentucky Secretary of State announced that any voter may decide to vote by mail due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every voter has a valid excuse if they believe that voting in person will subject them to an unreasonable risk of harm from the coronavirus.. Voters will have from August 21st until Oct. 9th to request a ballot.
Q: Can I vote early?
Yes! On August 14th, the Kentucky Secretary of State announced early voting will open on Oct. 13.
Q: Do I need an ID?
Yes. A driver’s license, social security card, Kentucky County ID card, a credit card, or any ID card with your picture and signature will work. If you are a voting absentee, you do not need to include a copy of your identification, but the signature on your ballot must match the one on your registration form.
Q: This is my home state, but I won't be home for this election. Can I still vote here?
Yes. Kentucky offers absentee ballots by mail to voters who will be unable to vote in person.
